Coconut Milked Chicken in Banana Leaf


250 ml thick coconut milk
400 g whole chicken, cut into 6
6 onions, thinly sliced
1 clove garlic
12 fruit of cayenne pepper
2 cm ginger, thinly sliced
1 cm galangal, thinly sliced
10 each petai seeds, thinly sliced lengthwise
6 bay leaves
1 teaspoon salt
banana leaves for wrapping
toothpick to sewed

How to cook:
  • Mix thoroughly all ingredients except bay leaf. Take two pieces of banana leaf size 10 x 15 cm, a piece of bay leaf, a piece of chicken and seasonings.
  • Wrap chicken with banana leaves.
  • Steam for 30 minutes or until cooked and greasy.
Remove and serve.
