Hong Kong Classic Lemon Chicken

In this recipe, you will learn how to cook lemon chicken, in Hong Kong style. Basically, lemon chicken is kind of stir-fried dish, strips or small peace of flour-coated fried chicken in sweet sour lemon sauce, easy to make and quite simple preparation.

Ingredients:
  • 450 gm Chicken leg boneless or breast, cut into small strips or pieces
  • 1 egg white, lightly whisked
  • 2 tsp corn flour
  • 4 Tbs ground or peanut oil
Making Lemon sauce

  • 100 ml Chicken stock
  • 3 Tbs fresh Lemon juice
  • 1 Tbs fine sugar
  • 1 Tbs soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 spring onions, finely sliced for garnish
Cooking method:

  1. Marinate chicken with egg white, corn flour and oil, cover and chilled for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat wok or large frying pan, add oil and make hot to fry the chicken. Cooking time for chicken is 5 minutes or until golden brown. Put the chicken aside.
  3. Using the same wok, use a bit oil for making sauce. You just simply add add ingredients into wok except sesame oil. Add stock and bring to boil.
  4. Return chicken bites into wok and toss until peaces completely coated in sauce, drizzle sesame oil. Garnish with spring onion.
Lemon chicken usually serve with steamed rice and mixed vegetables.

Your recipe sounds great, but I like to sugest for you to spell check before posting it, I'm sure you meant sesame oil and not "SEAMEN OIL" plus a few other little mistakes, thanks.
